- All 48 kana from ア to ン in gojūon order, plus ヰ and ヱ
- Dakuten ゛ and handakuten ゜ are sent after the kana: ガ = カ ゛
- The long vowel mark ー has its own code
- Operators send ホレ (−·· −−−) to switch to Wabun and ラタ (··· −·) to switch back
